Our Story

Hi there, friend! I’m Kenna, and I’m so glad you’re here! This is my husband Doug, my business partner and best friend! Together, we are the owners and heart of Smith and Company Candles and we’ve been on an incredible journey that started with my family's small business in 2005 and grew into the dream we’re living today.

What started as a side hustle to keep my family business going, blossomed into something so much bigger, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Since Doug and I took over the business in 2019, we’ve moved from working out of our basement to a warehouse full of incredible team members who help make our candle dreams a reality. Each and every one of us is dedicated to bringing you products that are not just beautiful, but meaningful.

At Smith and Company Candles, our mission is simple: We want to create candles that fill your space with the scents of comfort, joy, and connection. Whether it’s a quiet evening at home, a celebration with friends, or a peaceful moment of reflection, we believe the right scent can make those memories even more special.

All of our candles and wax melts are handmade in Chippewa Falls, WI, using 100% soy wax. We’re proud to offer products that are non-toxic, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly. We hand-pour each candle in small batches, taking the time and care to ensure that every single one is crafted with the highest quality materials and lots of love.
