Job Description:

We are currently seeking motivated and trustworthy individuals who want to join our team in either a full-time or part-time capacity!

Midwest Fragrance Company specializes in the sale of fragrance oils that are used in candle making, soap making, and other bath/body products. We take great pride in offering our customers specialty fragrance oils that enhance the quality of the products they are creating!

Smith & Company takes pride in being a second generation family owned and operated soy candle company! Candles, wax melts, and room sprays are made onsite and sold to both retail and wholesale customers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work onsite in a warehouse environment
  • Be a versatile team player who will be trained in all areas of warehouse operations (shipping, oil and candle production, product breakdown, inventory management)
  • Accurately pull, package, and process orders for shipping
  • Learn fragrance oil & candle production methods and how to operate related equipment
  • Inspect, breakdown, organize, and store incoming product and supplies
  • Use scales to accurately weigh & measure products
  • Label and package items correctly
  • Assist in inventory stocking
  • Contribute to the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the facility
  • Complete and maintain required documentation
  • Professionally communicate with co-workers, supervisors, owners, and external partners
  • Contribute ideas to improve warehouse efficiency and accuracy
  • Bring an optimistic, friendly, and growth-oriented approach to the job
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent (Required)
  • Valid driver’s license (Required)
  • Must be physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and reach throughout the course of the shift (Required)
  • Must be physically able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs (Required)
  • Basic computer skills (Required)
  • Warehouse/Shipping/Receiving/Production experience (Strongly preferred)
  • Machine Operating experience (Preferred)

CURRENT OPENINGS

Full-time and part-time positions to work primarily Monday through Friday FT: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and PT 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM with schedule variations during peak seasons and special sales events

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

1 year of warehouse/shipping/receiving and/or production experience (Strongly preferred)

RATE OF PAY

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour (hourly rate based on level of relevant experience)
